Business booming at Budapest studio
BTI Budapest is proud to welcome two more channels among its clients; children's channel Minimax and vintage movie channel Filmmúzeum, owned by Chello Central Europe, have chosen BTI's sister company Eskimo Avenue as their dubbing supplier. The Budapest studio also regularly produces dubbing for KidsCo and is now working on its first cartoon series for Turner.
"Filmmúzeum is a treat", says renowned dubbing director Béla Rehorovszky who has a track record of decades in the dubbing business at the best studios in Hungary - now including BTI Budapest. Most of the programmes are feature films from the 50's and 80's, in a variety of languages; so far the studio has tackled Czech, French, German, Italian, Swedish and, of course, English. As some of the video material is quite old, music and effects are also reconstructed in certain segments.
The studio is currently upgrading its IT infrastructure. As the clients are starting to move from tape to digital delivery, we have recently installed a gigabit network to link up the studio equipment into one single network, and a 20/20 Mbit leased line connection is soon to replace our existing ADSL line.
